Compare our Mattress Toppers

Yes, mattress toppers can be a worthwhile investment for several reasons. The main benefit of a mattress topper is that it can directly improve certain aspects of your mattress that you don’t particularly like.

For example, if you find your mattress to be way too firm for your liking, but you don’t want to spend hundreds, if not thousands of pounds, to replace it, a mattress topper such as our Hybrid® Mattress Topper can make a world of difference at a fraction of the cost.

There is no single best mattress topper in the UK, as the right one will always depend on your individual sleep needs, preferences, and budget. That said, there are a few key factors that tend to separate great toppers from average ones. They include the quality of materials used, the level of support provided, breathability, and how well the topper is built to last.

The right thickness for a mattress topper will depend on what you’re looking to get out of it. Based on our own research, testing, and development, we’ve found between 5 to 6.5cm to be the perfect thickness for our mattress toppers.

As a result, they’re not too thin to make a meaningful difference, and not so thick that they change the fundamental feel of your mattress beyond recognition or cause issues with the fit of your bedding.

In all honesty, there are very few drawbacks to using a mattress topper. The main drawback is that a topper can only do so much. For example, if your mattress is quite old, heavily worn, or no longer provides adequate support, a topper may improve the feel temporarily but won’t address the underlying issue.

Another important disadvantage that is worth mentioning is that a low-quality topper can shift around at night if it isn’t properly secured. To prevent this from happening, we’ve designed all our toppers to come with four elastic fixing straps that will keep your Simba topper in place night after night.

A mattress topper can absolutely help with back pain, especially if the pain you’re getting is caused by your mattress. For instance, if your mattress is too firm and isn’t contouring to the natural curve of your spine, using one of our mattress toppers with Aerocoil® microsprings and Simbatex® foam can provide the pressure relief and support your body needs to wake up pain-free.

The exact cleaning process that you need to follow will vary from one mattress topper to another. All of our mattress toppers, for example, come with a removable cover, which you can wash in your washing machine. This makes keeping your mattress topper clean and hygienic super convenient and straightforward.
