What size is a Simba double mattress?

Our most popular mattress for double beds is a standard UK double mattress, measuring 135cmW x 190cmL; we also offer longer European Double Mattresses and space-efficient Small Double Mattresses in our Hybrid® and Pro models. The height of our double mattresses varies according to the design: our Natural Hybrid® range is packed with natural mattress materials and our signature sleep tech, with the Apex design measuring 30cm deep; the luxurious Ultra is the deepest of our Hybrid® mattresses at 34cm deep. Do Simba also offer mattresses in smaller sizes?

Yes. We also have a range of super-comfortable Single Mattresses as well as the slightly longer Euro Single Mattresses.

What to consider when choosing a double mattress

It’s a good idea to measure everything out when you buy a double mattress – for example you need to make sure there’ll be enough space to open doors and cupboards. But our double Hybrid® Mattresses are delivered vacuum packed and boxed so you’ll be able to get it up most stairs.A double bed mattress is the perfect size for stretching out, without swallowing up the whole room; it’s a great option for growing teens, smaller bedrooms and guests, but might not offer enough space for couples.

How to care for your double mattress

There’s no need to turn it over to prolong its life, but we do recommend you rotate your double mattress head to foot once a month for the first three months, and once every three months thereafter. For our double Natural Hybrid® mattresses, twice a year after the first few months will do. This is to keep all the natural mattress fillings more comfortable for longer. Nearly every Simba mattress features a removable cover which you can wash, but we also recommend you get one of our machine washable, quilted cotton Mattress Protectors to help keep your new double mattress fresh and clean.

How long will my double mattress last?

We’re confident all our Simba mattresses will go the distance, which is why we offer a 10-year guarantee on all new mattresses. Manufacturing faults are rare, but if you stumble across any, just let us know and we’ll replace it with a brand new one.

Will my new double mattress qualify for Free Delivery and Returns?

Yes, even in our double mattress sale periods. Standard delivery is free for all our mattresses to most UK postcodes, with most arriving within 48 hours in non-sale periods. VIP delivery may take up to 10 working days in sale periods. Returns are free too; you have 200 days to decide whether you are happy with your purchase, and if not we’ll collect it from you free of charge.

Can my double mattress be recycled?

We don’t want any of our mattresses to end up in landfill. Which is why all the double mattresses for sale at Simba are suitable for recycling via our collection service or specialist providers. Those returned in your 200-night trial (or under our 10-year guarantee) are refurbished. And any with too much wear and tear? They’re recycled. Once your mattress reaches the end of its life, we have a specialised Simba Mattress Recycling Service. Simply pay a small fee, and we come and collect it for you.
