Small Double mattresses

Our small double mattresses are a standard UK small double mattress size, measuring 120cmW x 190cmL with a minimum of 25cm depth depending on the range and model. You might also know them as three-quarter mattresses or 4ft mattresses. The small double size is available in our Hybrid® Original, Hybrid® Essential, Hybrid® Pro and Hybrid® Luxe models. If you want a little more space, upgrade to a Double, King Size or Super King mattress from the rest of our collection, including our natural mattress Earth range.

Since small double mattresses are slightly narrower than standard UK double mattresses, we don’t often recommend them for couples. Instead, their extra width can make them an ideal choice for growing kids and teenagers. Their changing body shape and sleeping habits can benefit from the support of our signature Simba tech. 

If you don’t have room for a small double, you’ll still get the same ground-breaking tech in our Single Mattresses and our Kids Mattress, which is suitable for bunk beds.

There’s no need to turn it over to prolong its life, but we do recommend you rotate your Small double mattress head to foot once a month for the first three months. After that it’s a good idea to do this once every three months for the rest of its life.  

Most Simba small double bed mattresses feature a removable cover which you can wash, but we also recommend you get one of our machine washable, quilted cotton Mattress Protectors to help keep your new small double mattress fresh and clean. 

We strive to refurbish or recycle all the mattresses that are returned to us in their trial period; it’s kinder to the planet to give mattresses another life, since we’re keeping them from landfill – and it keeps our unique Simba sleep tech within everyone’s reach, since they’re more affordable than brand new mattresses. We’re committed to sending no mattresses to landfill, so that’s why all the small double mattresses for sale at Simba are suitable for recycling via our collection service or specialist providers. If you return your mattress in your 200-night trial (or under our 10-year guarantee), they’re refurbished. Those with too much wear and tear are recycled. When your mattress reaches the end of its life, we have a specialised Simba Mattress Recycling Service on our site. Simply pay a small fee, and we’ll collect it for you. That’s any brand, any size – no Simba purchase necessary.

Yes, we offer guaranteed free delivery on your small double mattress, even in sale periods. It’ll arrive conveniently rolled and boxed, just give it a couple of days to fully regain its shape. You’ll also get a 200-night free trial period. If you’re not happy withing that time, let us know and we’ll collect it for free.
