All Simba Hybrid® mattresses combine signature comfort layers at the top and tailored support layers at the base.

The upper layers feature thousands of our tiny, titanium Aerocoil® springs; these patented, pocketed springs flex and compress individually, and are designed to absorb impact as you move and in response to pressure, giving a hugged, floating sensation to most sizes or sleeping styles. The base layers feature zoned support to help support body alignment, with gentler support and extra cushioning for the shoulders and lower back.

micro spring comfort layer

These tiny cones of comfort will transform your sleep

The key to our incredible, upper comfort layer, and our pride and joy, these springs are made from titanium alloy. So even in a micro size (they’re just 2.5cm high, with wire the width of a very thin paperclip) they can provide the comfort you need. But being so small and fine, you won’t be able to feel them. Not even when we position them at the top of your mattress.

Which is important. Because that’s exactly where your body needs them. So you’ll find up to 2000 of these ingenious springs nestling in our Hybrid® mattress; their clever, conical shape means they compress inwards rather than sideways, so they’re designed to limit the transfer of motion to adjacent springs. The result? Tailored support for each partner, without one disturbing the other. And as they compress they gently puff air through the mattress, enhancing airflow and heat control. But we didn’t stop there. We’ve also fine-tuned them to create thirteen zones of differing resistance, to assist with all over body support.

For enhanced airflow all night long

Being too hot at night is an absolute no-no for great sleep. That’s why we designed our fantastic Simbatex foam; it’s an open structure foam, which is engineered to encourage airflow. On top of that our sleep scientists have infused it with graphite, known to dissipate heat for a fresher night’s sleep.

And you thought foam was just, well, foam? Not in our book.

It’s a Foam from Foam.

For Simba, a healthier planet is as important as restful sleep. And there’s no time to waste. Literally.

We try and use recycled materials wherever we can, but recycling foam has always been trickier - there are only so many dog beds the world needs after all.

So we’re thrilled to have come up with Simba ReGen™, our new mattress base layer. It’s made from suitable, surplus foam and turned into a high-quality product created to strict density levels; all the foam used is CertiPUR® standard.

Base

It definitely has the ‘edge’

Our innovative edge-to-edge springs are at the heart (or should we say base) of this mattress. Up to 1000 of them work together to provide robust support right across the mattress, allowing you to sleep up to the very edges with no dipping. Made from tempered steel, these deep, barrel-shaped springs designed to enhance breathability through the mattress and are encased in fabric to ensure they respond independently to pressure.

All that, and they can still be compressed and rolled to enable boxed delivery.

So not all great engineering is building and bridges.

We’re proud to be founding members of British Retail Consortium climate action roadmap and the UK’s first B Corp certified sleep brand; B Corp status is an accreditation that is only awarded to select businesses that promote social and environmental change through how they work and operate, something we consistently strive for.

Simba mattresses are made in the UK; we also aim to reduce waste by offering a specialist mattress recycling service as well as a certified refurbishment programme.

We aim to use packaging which includes recycled materials (or materials from approved FSC sources) as much as possible, and we endeavour to use more sustainable materials and processes across our range, including  Better Cotton and recycled materials wherever we can.
