WHY NOT TRY OUR AWARD-WINNING SLEEP TECH?
Better sleep is on the way. Because your Simba Hybrid® mattress has all the tech you need for cooler, cushioned, comfortable sleep. It’s a positive choice for the planet too; our Hybrid® mattresses are 100% recyclable and made right here in the UK.
This guide tells you everything you need to know about your new mattress, and you can revisit it at any time via the QR code on your mattress label. Just use the shortcuts below to jump to the info you need.
Some of our mattresses are quite heavy, so we strongly recommend that you keep children away during delivery, and that our delivery team take it to your bedroom for you. It’s also a good idea to get someone to help you lift it onto the bed before unwrapping.
PS Be careful as you cut the wrapping! Stick to the guide marks on the plastic, and make sure you don’t cut through to the mattress cover; some mattresses may also spring back quite forcefully, so move anything fragile out of the way first.
Be patient! Your mattress needs 6 hours to settle and reflate, and up to 72 hours to regain its shape fully. And our experts estimate it takes about 30 nights to get used to a new mattress, so just relax; our 200-night, risk-free trial will allow you plenty of time to get to know your Simba.
PS. Don’t worry if you notice a slight smell as your new mattress airs; this is completely normal and will dissipate over 24 hours.
You never need to flip your mattress over, but you should rotate it to extend its life; spin it 180 degrees on its base every month for the first 3 months, then every 3 months after that.
Oh, and don’t forget to use a mattress protector.
To protect your mattress in transit, it arrives in one or two layers of damp-proof plastic wrap (35% recycled) in a sturdy, FSC certified cardboard box.
Most curb side services will collect the cardboard, but the wrapping layers are classed as LDPE4 plastic, so they’ll probably need to be taken to a local drop off point (which will usually be your nearest large supermarket)
If you’re unsure where your nearest drop off point is, you can use this handy recycling locator (opens in a new window)
To prolong its life, you should spin your mattress head to foot every month for the first 3 months, then quarterly; a fitted sheet makes life easier when you’re doing this or changing your bedlinen.
We strongly recommend you use a mattress protector to safeguard your mattress from accidental spillages as well as wear and tear.
If your mattress has a zip off cover or top cover (see below for removal instructions) you can keep your mattress fresh by washing it on a 40-degree, reduced spin cycle, then letting it line dry.
Please DO NOT use bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
Spot cleaning: If your mattress does not have a removable cover you’ll need to spot clean it: use a non-abrasive cloth, dampened with a solution of water and a tiny amount of non-bleach detergent. Gently wipe the stain back and forth, repeating as needed but making sure the minimum of moisture is used. The area should be fully dry before you replace any bedding.
We also offer replacement mattress covers, so if your mattress gets damaged or starts to look tired, there’s no need to rush out and buy a new one. A clean, fresh replacement cover will extend its life - and allow one less mattress to be thrown away before its time.
Use the blue zip on the vertical side of the mattress to unzip the cover as shown below, taking care to fully disconnect/connect the zip end when you remove or reinstall the cover.
Thanks for joining us on our journey towards greater sustainability and Net Zero by 2030. Here’s how your mattress has helped...
We’ll be in touch in a few weeks to check you’re happy with your new mattress. But in the meantime we’d love to hear what you think of our service so far.
