Six more tips for staying cool while you sleep

It’s been the hottest summer since 1976, and plenty of us in the now-tropical UK are finding it  hard to sleep. Well, not *us* - we’ve got Simbatex.

To help you keep a cool head, we shared some of our own tips which many of you found useful (particularly the hot water bottle one). We also asked you to clue us in on your own tricks to beat the heat. Some were practical, some were…interesting. But do they work? You decide.

Bare Necessities

A few of you suggested sleeping naked, which is a top-notch idea (#greatminds). Just don’t forget keep your blinds closed or it could be a real bummer for your neighbours.

 

Hokey Cokey

Hands up if you’ve never casually stuck your leg out from under the covers, then immediately pulled it back because monsters (you’re a terrible liar).

 

Cold as Ice

Not a bad idea - and if you have leftover pizza in the fridge, it’ll smell great too.

 

In the Air Tonight

Turning to tech can be a worthwhile investment for the long haul. Although….

Though this year’s reports suggest there’s no escape from the heatwave, even north of Hadrian’s Wall.
